Service Description

Thursday 2nd July: 09H30 to 17H00 Venue: Karoo Winter Wool Festival, Dwarsvlei farm, Middelburg, Eastern Cape level: intermediate / confident beginner If you are curious and inquisitive about creating texture in fabric, love yarn, love colour then this is for you. Still focusing on balanced weave with no complicated pattern we will explore how adding float like threads can create added texture and interest to your fabric. We are making a few places available for those able to bring their own rigid heddle looms to the festival. Plus a 10dpi reed. Some theory, set up the warp, hemstitch and begin weaving a delightful textured scarf. You will complete the project at home. Includes a lot of yummy 100% woolen yarn, tuition, coffee, tea and 'beskuit' all day. You will provide your own lunch as food stalls will only be open on the festival days Friday & Saturday. I will be in contact with you via Whatsapp closer to the time re colour choice options, venue and directions. CANCELLATION POLICY: This workshop is refundable, minus a 10% cancellation fee if cancelled before 2nd June 2026. No refunds will be given if cancelled on or after 2nd June 2026.
