A 2-Day Weaving Experience Friday 17th April : 10H00 to 16H00 PLUS Saturday 18th April: 09H00 to 17H00 Venue: The Studio, de Trafford Wines, Stellenbosch If you are curious and inquisitive about creating fabric, love yarn, love colour then this is for you. It focuses on balanced weave with no complicated pattern. The essence is to fall in love with the flow and rhythm of weaving and you will leave with a completed long scarf that can double up as a snood. Weaving is quicker than knitting and weaving a whole scarf in no more than 2 days is very achievable. You will be weaving on a Lojan Rigid Heddle Loom. Classes are limited to 6 weavers maximum. Advise on where to further your weaving skills & purchasing of looms will be shared should the weaving bug bite. Please note that we start on Friday at 10H00. We will set up the warp, prepare shuttles, hemstitch and a little weaving. The day will end at 4pm . We will gather again on Saturday 9am for a full day of weaving and with great excitement will complete our scarves by 5pm. The Weaving Experience includes the yarn which is 100% wool, use of loom, tuition, welcome coffee light snacky lunch on Saturday, lunch on Sunday and all refreshments on both days. You will choose your colour pack of yarn at start of workshop. CANCELLATION POLICY: This workshop is refundable, minus a 10% cancellation fee if cancelled before 19th March 2026. No refunds will be given if cancelled on or after 19th March 2026.
