NEW workshop dates!

High up in the Blaauwklippen valley in Stellenbosch the oak trees and jasmine are refusing to let the cold weather and lingering rains dampen their enthusiasm for spring. The intense bright green leaves of oak and the soft blush pink blossoms of jasmine are teasing us with their spring promises. The response to my winter workshops have been wonderful. Armed in winter warmth and waterproof layers, the winter garden still held much colour and continues to expresses itself so beautifully on the silk creations.

During these unusual times, so dominated with the pandemic, the workshops in my studio have allowed me to connect with always a special wonderful group of participants. Each one lifting the lid of gloom and sadness with their dollops of laughs and colourful personalities. What brings me equal reward are the oohs an aahs as each silk bundle filled with botanicals unravels - revealing a beautiful wearable art piece. The great joy it brings to the maker is very tangible. What I fail to mention in advertising the workshops is that no art experience is needed at all. There is always one that loudly proclaims they don't have artistic cell of talent in their bones and it is those that squeal the loudest in delight and glow from head to toe in immense pride and accomplishment.

I also must make more song and dance that vouchers are very much available.

Please note that M1= module 1 and M2= module 2.

Module 2 is a follow on from any Module 1 workshop.

Please understand that payment secures your place. Classes are small and I cannot keep your spot reserved longer than 24 hours. Cancellation policy: Workshops are refundable minus a 5% cancellation fee if cancelled not later than 10 working days before booked workshop. Between 9 working days and 72 hours prior to workshop a voucher will be issued that can be spent on any items on website shop. Any cancellations made less than 72 hours prior workshop are non refundable.

Friday 22 to Sunday 24th October: Linen & Paper botanical printing weekend at Kogman & Keisie in Montagu. SOLD OUT.

Friday 19th November: Botanicals on Silk(M1) 09H00-17H00 R1650/person

Saturday 20th November: Hike & Helichrysum Hats/helichrysum on linen/(M2) 09H00-17H00. R1750/person

2022:

Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd January 2022: Botanicals on Silk AND Botanicals on Linen

A 2-day workshop R3400/per person
