Wax Resist Painting with Nicola Jenkin

Service Description

Be present at the river - be present at the boulders she has carved and softened. The whole and broken boughs of past she passes and the trees she continues to nourish. We will explore the works of Henry Moore and wax resist. Nicola will show and guide you on how to build an image by applying wax and crayon followed by layers of watercolor. Observe how the trees emerge as the water based material is repelled by the wax to create a distinctive sculptural form. when: Saturday 7th December 20240 time: 8h30 to 15h30 includes: all art materials; a welcome coffee; a delightful lunch, a venue of many trees and a babbling river. where: Blaauwklippen river, de Trafford Winery SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS OF ARTISTS: beginner to experienced please bring: hat, sun-cream, folding chair, water-bottle, snacks and apron. You will be contacted via Whatsapp the week prior to workshop with a reminder or two. Cancelation policy: a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee will be issued if cancelled on or before 8th of November. No refunds will be given with cancelation made on or after 9th of November.
